Hi Chef Terms of Service, Licence and Liability Notice (v2026-09-01) · 2026-09-01
Parties and nature. This registration is a business-to-business software licence, remote-access and training-facilitation agreement — not a consumer sale — between a food-and-beverage operator in Qatar (“Venue / Subscriber / you”) and the licensor of the Hi Chef service under the Vendora brand (“Vendora / Hi Chef / we / the Service”). If you are under eighteen or are not authorised to bind the Venue, do not submit this form; submission is a representation of authority. Ticking the box and pressing subscribe (or equivalent) is electronic acceptance with the same legal effect as a wet-ink signature. A screenshot, a partial read, or “it was too long so I did not read it” does not void acceptance.
What the Service is and is not. The Service is software access: QR guest menu, cashier, kitchen display, owner panel, install helpers, and training hours planned on WhatsApp at the time you pick. It is not a payment institution, till hardware, food delivery, municipal licence, food-safety inspection, staff supply, bookkeeping, tax advice, or a guest card acquirer. Guest order money is taken on your existing till / channels. Vendora takes no commission on food orders. Setup and period fees are licence fees as invoiced.
Access gate, code and term. Registration alone does not open the system. The Venue opens only if (a) Vendora HQ marks a free pilot or (b) HQ confirms payment and you enter, once, the one-time access code on /account. The code is minted in a ten-character cashier alphabet, stored encrypted, sent to the HQ Telegram channel, and intended to be forwarded to you by voice / WhatsApp. Delay, a message to the wrong number, your sharing of the code, a screenshot, or staff losing the code is not Vendora default. The code is single-use. The window is thirty (30) calendar days from redemption (Qatar time may apply). When it ends the system locks until a new payment and a new code. “I did not use it / I forgot / staff could not type / no internet” does not extend the window. An HQ freeze may cut orders in any event.
Payment, receipts, refunds. Collection in force is cash in person to your service provider and/or transfer to an account you are given. Automated bank transfer and card auto-pay are “coming soon” and are not a present commitment. Saying “I paid” does not grant access; HQ must see the money and approve. Receipt photos, reference numbers, payer names and amounts are your statements; false, incomplete or third-party receipts may be rejected. After a code is issued or access is opened you will not claim a refund, credit, set-off or cooling-off right — this is not a consumer distance sale. Mandatory Qatar law that expressly requires a refund is reserved; then any refund is only by written HQ decision, less used days and processing cost. Issuing an invoice does not mint a code; the code is a separate HQ action.
Training. Seven days × about one hour on WhatsApp is a usage courtesy, not a guaranteed result. Missing sessions, lateness, a wrong number, staff turnover or “I could not learn it” does not change the licence, the fee or the lock. You choose the hour; it is planned on the Qatar calendar.
Identity, PINs, Authenticator, devices. Email, password, Google Authenticator (or WhatsApp OTP if so configured), and cashier / kitchen / owner PINs are under your control. Sharing PINs, leaving a tablet unlocked, losing the Authenticator device or using a shared browser is your risk. Vendora does not store plaintext PINs. Unauthorised entry, fake tickets, paid/void marks, stock and price errors are the Venue’s risk.
Content, licences, guests. Menu names, prices, allergens, photos, stories, logo, background, printed QR, the public slug (e.g. /your-venue) and any maps link you paste are yours and your liability. Copyright, trade mark, publicity, misleading price, food illness, and baladiya / MoPH duties are not transferred to Vendora. For guest order and identity data (plate, table, phone, etc.) you are the controller; Vendora hosts / processes.
Personal data (Qatar PDPL Law 13 of 2016 and amendments). Name, email, WhatsApp, venue name, address, maps, training hour, invoices and payment claims, session cookies, and diagnostic dumps from “Report a fault” (page, browser, field values — passwords / PINs / Authenticator codes are intended to be redacted) are processed to provide the Service, match payment, plan training, prevent abuse and intervene at your request. Lists are not sold. Retention follows the account and legal limitation periods. Access, correction and erasure requests are in writing; erasure does not cancel legal retention or invoices. Using “Report a fault” is consent to send the diagnostic JSON to HQ and to the technician who will act on it.
Downtime and third parties. Hosting, DNS, browsers, Google Authenticator, WhatsApp, Telegram, maps, Wi-Fi, power, devices and your staff are third parties. There is no uptime SLA, no liquidated damages and no “it did not open” warranty unless a separate written contract says so — otherwise the Service is provided as-is / best effort. Force majeure (disaster, war, regulatory block, upstream outage) excludes liability.
Freeze, abuse, refusal. Unpaid fees, fake receipts, abuse, reverse engineering, scraping, fake sign-up, unlawful use or reasonable HQ suspicion may freeze access or refuse a registration. Pilot / free-open is discretionary and revocable.
Cap. Except for mandatory law, Vendora’s aggregate liability for a Venue will not exceed licence fees actually collected for that Venue in the last thirty (30) days. No indirect loss, profit, reputation, data loss, guest complaint or staff error. You indemnify Vendora against third-party claims from guests, staff, content, food or licences.
IP. Software, design, copy and HQ tools are licensed, not sold. Copying, reverse engineering or feeding a competitor is forbidden. Printing QR / guest links is a use right for your Venue only; leakage of the link is your risk.
Change, language, law. Terms may be updated on HQ or this screen under a new version id; a new code or new period may mean acceptance of the new text. Turkish, English and Arabic are published. On conflict, the law of the State of Qatar and the English text prevail; courts of Qatar (Doha) have jurisdiction. Severability; no waiver except written HQ confirmation. You may not assign without our written consent; we may assign the Service to a group company or buyer.
Bad data. Every field you type is your representation. A wrong email, unreachable WhatsApp, bad address or unauthorised registrant is not a “system failure”. Support via Report a fault and WhatsApp is best-effort, not a 24/7 SLA. This text, the privacy page and the short lead on this form are the entire agreement; oral promises are not binding unless written. Version: 2026-09-01.
